Two attacks in the Nigerian Kaduna region

The Nigerian Kaduna region has suffered from two attacks this week. The first one took place in an airport, the second - on a railroad between Abuja (Nigerian capital) and Kaduna city.

In the first attack, an unidentified group opened fire on airport workers, effectively killing one of them. The security personnel soon repelled the attackers.

The second attack involved placing explosives on the rail tracks between Abuja and Kaduna. The explosion forced the train carrying 970 passengers to stop, allowing the terrorist group to shoot at the train. Even though the wagons are bulletproof, the incident caused panic among the passengers, some of which tried to flee. Unfortunately, this was the expectation of the gunmen who kidnapped 25 people into the forest.

Armed gangs carry out kidnappings, especially in the northern regions of Nigeria. The Nigerian army responds in military operations, including bombarding kidnappers' hideouts.
