"Today, during talks via video links, it was agreed that the next face-to-face meeting of the two delegations will be held in Turkey", said a member of the Ukrainian delegation, David Arachamia, quoted by the Interfax-Ukraine agency. He added that details were to be presented later. Arachamia, quoted by Ukrainian media, said that the talks would take place on March 28-30.
The war in Ukraine has been going on for more than a month. Russian troops began their invasion on February 24 from the north, south and east. In connection with the aggression against Ukraine, several countries and international organizations have imposed sanctions on Russia, its government, Russian oligarchs and Russian companies.
The first round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine took place on February 28. Then members of both delegations met on March 3 and March 7. Since March 14, talks have been held daily via video links.
In the talks between Russia and Ukraine, the parties are close to reaching an agreement on four of the six main negotiating topics, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said.
