At a joint press conference, El-Sisi said the talks "addressed the progress made in various aspects of bilateral relations," adding that "there are still many ways to develop and advance these relations."
He said that both sides agreed to continue the already existing political consultation and coordination to advance the two countries' cooperation on regional issues of common interest.
The leaders also discussed security and development issues in Africa, including the spread of terrorism. El-Sisi referred to Egypt's establishment of the Sahel and Sahara Anti-Terrorism Center and praised Rwanda's efforts in UN peacekeeping operations in Africa.
El-Sisi stressed the importance of cooperation among all Nile Basin countries out of concern for common interests to not harm any of the basin countries, including Ethiopia and its Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam.
